Rename Parameters

You can Rename Parameters to correspond with the dye used on a particular channel, or Rename to make them more relevant to your experiment than the names of the lasers, such as VL1-H and BL1-H.  Because there are two versions of each channel, Height (VL1-H) and Area (VL1-A) it makes sense to use the same dye name for both and specify H or A at the end of the name. Sync Names copies the dye names over to the area channels located in the Area tab, so don’t have to type them in twice to put them in the Area channels. This is another access point to Rename Parameters in the Analysis Parameters pane in the Design tab.
